April's 2000 Leader Update Hello there, Sorry about the delay in contacting you over the future of the youth & children's work at Meadow Way. I have finally sorted out my new computer.
Please check out
your details in the list of leaders enclosed, particularly whether
you consider yourself the main leader, a leader or you just attend.
Please let me have any changes or let me know if I have missed
someone out. The next two church meetings I am taking are: April 30th Evening Service - Looking at the 5 purposes of youth work in detail.
Both are aimed at
the whole church, but would be of interest to the youth and
children's workers.
This should lead
us nicely into us setting time aside reviewing the youth &
children's work against these purposes. I propose that as many of us
as possible meet for a Saturday in May or June. This may extend to an
additional meeting. After the Saturday I plan to meet individually
with each leader or in small groups, so no one will be left out.
I would also like
to start child protection training in June. I would also like to put
together a training package next autumn. I am also looking to set up
a pigeon hole in the foyer for future correspondence plus with
various youth books and magazines people can borrow.
Therefore could
you also please fill in the short questionnaire below and let me have
it back, so I can plan the Saturday review.
